What this site collects, why, and the rights you have over it. In plain terms, and kept short on purpose.

Who is responsible
This site is operated by Sharp.Works Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales (company no. 09679033), registered office 75 Vicarage Avenue, Cheadle Hulme, Cheadle, SK8 7JP. For anything about your data, email [email protected].
What this site collects
This is a static brochure site with no accounts, no sign-up and no on-site forms. It runs no analytics or advertising trackers. In practice that means two things are processed:
- Anything you email me. If you get in touch, I hold your message and your email address so I can reply and, where it goes somewhere, carry on the conversation.
- Technical logs. The site is served through Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs (such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver the site and keep it secure. This happens for any website you visit.
Cookies
This site sets no analytics or tracking cookies of its own. Cloudflare, the host, may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the site from malicious traffic. That kind of cookie is essential to running the service and, under UK rules, does not need a consent banner. If I ever add analytics, I will use a privacy-friendly, cookieless tool so that stays true.
Why I can hold it, and for how long
The lawful basis is legitimate interests: replying to you when you make contact, and running the site securely. I keep enquiry emails for as long as there is a live reason to (an ongoing conversation or working relationship) and then clear them out. Cloudflare's technical logs are short-lived and retained on its own schedule.
Who else sees it
I do not sell your data or share it for marketing. The only third parties involved are the providers that make the site and my email work, chiefly Cloudflare (hosting and security) and my email provider. They process data on my behalf under their own terms.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the data I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted, and you can object to my processing it. Email [email protected] and I will sort it out. If you are not happy with how I have handled things, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this notice changes, the updated version will appear here with a new date at the top.
